Physical Exam with Health Certificate

Traveling with your canine or feline family members can be so fun and exciting! Focus on the fun while we help you with some of the logistics of pet travel, such as pet health certificates for domestic (within the United States) travel. VetIQ Petcare does not offer health certificates for international travel. Travel requirements for each state can be quite complicated; therefore, it is very important that you call ahead well in advance for this service.

Most states require a physical exam and health certificate completed by a USDA accredited veterinarian for any pet being brought into the state. The physical exam often needs to be performed within 10 days of your travel date. Each state has their own specific requirements for entry, such as vaccination requirements, parasite control requirements, and testing requirements. These requirements are to help eliminate the spread of infectious diseases to protect the animals and humans in that state.

In addition, the physical exam helps determine if your pet is healthy enough to travel. VetIQ Petcare veterinarians and staff are trained to navigate these requirements and help you get on your way with your canine or feline travel companion. It is important to note that each airline has their own specific requirements for pet travel. You must call the airline you are traveling with for these requirements. This is the pet owner’s responsibility.

VetIQ Petcare offers physical exams with health certificates for domestic (within the United States) pet travel. Please call ahead well in advance for this service, as the pet travel requirements for each state varies and can be complicated.
