Adverse Event Information
Most pets do not experience vaccine-related events but minor symptoms, such as achiness, lethargy, increased anxiety or appetite loss may occur and are common. More moderate symptoms may include vomiting and/or diarrhea. These symptoms subside within 24-48 hours. Very rarely, a small lump may develop at the injection site. The lump typically dissipates on its own after a few weeks.
If your pet has any of the following symptoms, contact the local 24-hour emergency veterinary clinic noted on your VetIQ Petcare receipt.
- Repeated vomiting or diarrhea
- Swollen face
- Difficulty breathing
- Lethargic/restless behavior lasting more than 48 hrs
- Lump at injection site which appears painful or drains
- Hives (bumps) on the body
